I presently have ample space for storage and no squeak or bounce to the floor. The shed style allowed more windows near the high wall roofline which adds a lot of light. Turn in a set of building blueprints with a pitch less than 3 12 or build a shed style roof with a low pitch and your building inspector will not pass the construction and provisions will have to be made to get the pitch up to acceptable standards if it is going to be shingled. Low gable sheds need a shed that has a low roof height but still offers decent wall height. Building this single sloped roof shed was an excellent learning experience. Preplanning was essential to the build. The rubbermaid slide lid shed is short enough to fit under standard fence heights yet has ample room to hold everything from long handled tools to riding or push lawn mowers.

Rollers on the roof make it easy to slide the lid back to access all the items stored in the shed. The gable shed can be lengthened to allow for greater storage space. A 6 foot door will only fit on the gable end of a short shed because the roof and door header require the additional height to make up the overall shed height of 8 feet.
